FOCUSED SPACE TO DIVE DEEP INTO WHAT MATTERS MOST
Therapy Intensives in Boulder, Colorado
Virtual Therapy Services available throughout Colorado
Sometimes 50 minutes a week is enough. And sometimes, you find yourself wishing there were more time to slow down, stay with what’s coming up, and really get to the heart of something. Therapy intensives create more space for focused, meaningful therapeutic work.
Maybe you’re moving through a major life transition. Maybe an old pattern keeps showing up despite all the insight and personal growth work you’ve already done. Maybe there’s an experience from your past that you’re ready to process—or something happening in your life right now that deserves more attention than a weekly appointment can offer.
Instead of stopping just as we’re getting somewhere important, we can spend a longer stretch of time together, with room for therapeutic processing, reflection, nervous system regulation, and integration.
My therapy intensives in Boulder, Colorado are designed to be collaborative and individualized. We’ll determine together what you want to focus on and what format will best support you.
A therapy intensive is an extended period of individual therapy designed around a specific goal, theme, or area of your life. Rather than meeting for one 50-minute session at a time, we set aside several hours—sometimes across multiple days—to focus more deeply on the work that matters to you.
a therapy intensive might be a good fit if…
You’re going through a major life transition.
Transitions can bring grief, uncertainty, excitement, fear, and questions about who you are becoming. An intensive can give you room to slow down and listen to what this transition is asking of you.
You’re tired of getting to the heart of something right when the session ends.
Sometimes the most meaningful part of a therapy conversation happens toward the end of an hour. With an intensive, we don't have to stop just because the clock says it's time.
You’ve done a lot of personal growth work but still feel stuck.
You may understand your patterns intellectually and still find yourself caught in them. Intensive therapy can give us more time to explore the emotional and embodied layers of those patterns—not just talk about them.
You want focused support without committing to long-term weekly therapy.
An intensive can be a way to dedicate meaningful time to a particular area of your life without necessarily beginning an open-ended course of weekly therapy.

One of the biggest misconceptions about EMDR is that you'll be asked to relive your most painful experiences right away.
That's not how I practice.
EMDR begins by building a strong foundation. Together, we'll spend time getting to know your history, understanding your goals, and developing tools that help you feel grounded and supported before we begin processing difficult experiences.
When you're ready, we'll work slowly and collaboratively, always honoring the pace of your nervous system. You remain in control throughout the process, and we can pause, slow down, or shift directions whenever needed.
-
Many people come to EMDR because they feel like they know something logically, but don't truly feel it.
EMDR works by helping your brain reprocess experiences that have been stored in ways that keep those old beliefs and reactions alive. As the nervous system integrates those experiences, many people notice they feel less reactive, more grounded, and more connected to themselves.
The goal isn't to erase your memories.
It's to help those memories become part of your past story instead of continuing to shape your present.
-
Not at all. While EMDR is well known for treating PTSD after a single traumatic event, it can also be incredibly effective for experiences that are less obvious but equally impactful. Many people seek EMDR because of ongoing experiences like chronic criticism, emotional neglect, bullying, difficult relationships, perfectionism, or growing up feeling like they had to earn love, stay small, or care for everyone else before themselves.
You don't have to have experienced a life-threatening event to benefit from EMDR. If past experiences continue to shape how you see yourself, relate to others, or respond to the world around you, EMDR can help your brain and nervous system process those experiences so they no longer have the same hold on your present life.ups and downs. Trauma therapy can help.

My fee is $165 per 50-minute session.
I've chosen not to contract directly with insurance because it allows me to practice in a way that aligns with my values and the kind of care I want to provide. This means:
Care that is tailored to you — We decide together what treatment looks like, how often we meet, and how long we work together based on your needs, rather than insurance requirements.
Greater privacy — I don't have to routinely submit diagnoses or therapy notes to insurance companies, allowing your care to remain as confidential as possible.
Flexibility in our work — We aren't limited by insurance authorization or session caps, so therapy can unfold at a pace that supports your goals.
A small, sustainable caseload — Insurance reimbursement rates are often far below a therapist’s actual hourly rate. By seeing fewer clients, I'm able to bring my full presence, attention, and care to each session and provide thoughtful, high-quality support.
